Part 1 - Prophetic Word for September 2020:
Word of the Lord to the Church of America...
Isaiah 60:1-2 KJV – "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Imagine being the children of Israel, and the Prophet Isaiah telling you that now is your time to shine? Now is your time to come forth in the Lord's glory, but then in the next breath, tell you that darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness will cover the people, but, then assures you not to worry because the Lord shall arise upon thee and be seen upon you.
"Wait, so you mean to tell me the Lord's glory will be seen upon me when the earth's darkness is most prevalent?' "You mean the promises of the Lord concerning who I am in Him is due to happen during the worst times we've ever see. How so?"
Yes. During the ugliest times their generation would have seen, their light had come. The same is true for the church today.
Entering into this year, the Lord ministered this scripture from Isaiah 60 KJV to me. You get excited about hearing something like your light has come, and the glory of the Lord will have risen upon you. However, you don’t think of the cost that comes with the glory of the Lord rising upon you. More specifically, the more darkness we see, the more His glory needs to be seen upon the people of God. The darker the hour is, the more of His glory that is required. Understand?
This is the Word of the Lord to the church today:
“Yes, you see darkness in the world. Yes, gross darkness and injustice are filling the mouths and lives of those who are the children of darkness, but for you. You, My child. Now it is your time to come forth. Now is your time to walk in My promises. Now is your time for My glory to be seen upon you because it is a witness to those who lack My presence. You need to be the witness. You HAVE to be MY witness.”
Romans 8:19 KJV – “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
In this time, in this hour – it is now time for the manifestation of the sons of God because the sons of this world NEED TO SEE IT [the glory of the Lord upon you].
“They need to see the glory of the Lord upon you because they may not seek it in other areas, but they will see you and know that there is something different about you. They need to see Christ, the hope of glory that is IN you (Colossians 1:27 NKJV). You’ve got to be positioned for them to see it. You’ve got to be positioned for them to know that I am. You got to be positioned that they may be provoked to salvation.”
“Who will bear my truth? Who will bear my light? Who will be willing to pay the cost that my will may be done in the earth? Who will be willing to allow for Me to shine through them? Who will be willing to lose their life that they would find it in Me (Matthew 16:25 KJV)? Who will go for Me (Isaiah 6:8)?”
Let the Word of the Lord be so.
So, I ask you. Where is God leading you in this season? What is something He’s asked you to do that you haven’t yet put your hands to do? What do you need to be doing? What part of God do others need to see in you? My God, what faucet of His GLORY needs to be seen in and upon you? More notably, what part of His glory are others not seeing because you haven’t gotten in your position? Because I tell you: NOW is the time.
Gross darkness is in the people and the world. Now is the time.
People are dying daily from a virus that we didn’t see coming. Now is the time.
People’s hearts are failing them for fear (Luke 21:26). Now is the time.
The love of many is waxing COLD (Matthew 24:12). Now is the time.
People are desensitized to this mess globally, and the church hasn’t properly stepped up until this moment, by the Lord’s grace. Now is the time.
People of God, WAKE UP (Romans 13:11). Now is YOUR time.
NOW IS OUR HOUR.
As I was preparing for this blog post, the Lord led me to Ezekiel 36. He spoke to me how this month would be the month of restoration even though darkness would continue to fill the earth.
In Ezekiel 36, the people of Judah had been taken into captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. In this prophecy, Ezekiel prophesied that Israel would be restored as a nation and return to their own land.
Think about this year alone. COVID-19, social injustices, coin shortages, gross darkness upon the people, darkness here and darkness there, undefeated wildfires…The list is numberless. But here's the Good News. The Lord will always restore His people; the Lord always promises a moment of restoration amid enduring.
You think about it. The people of God have had to endure through the difficulty, hardness, and correction of the Lord that has come in 2020 as a good soldier (2 Timothy 3:5 KJV). However, as I said before, the Lord always send restoration for His people to receive, and He's doing so this month. You may testify and identity with this already; the Lord has been moving quickly and is not slack concerning His promises, as some man count slackness (2 Peter 3:9 KJV).
The enemy thought he had the people of God held up. He thought he had us right where he wanted us. Still, the enemy didn't know that it was all a set up for the Lord's will to come to pass -- for the Lord to restore the people of God into their rightful place and position as the church.
We aren't in a strange land physically and literally speaking; however, we technically are (in a spiritual sense). Considering the newness of what we have been enduring, we sure are in a strange land.
The Lord is restoring His people to our proper functioning and operating in Him. We have been asleep up until COVID-19 (and some still are asleep). Nevertheless, in His mercy, the church is in her finest hour. The church is being restored to the place that she was always meant to operate in a fallen world. The Bible says that we are pilgrims and strangers here on earth, and to be honest, some of us have set up shop where we were only meant to be passing through (1 Peter 2:11 KJV). Some of us have adopted the world's way, and the Lord, in His mercy, had to send a wakeup call to us to position us for His glory on the earth (even amid growing darkness).
If you've been striving in your relationship with the Lord and not merely surviving, staying still (in a paralyzed state), you can testify that your relationship with the Lord has improved since March (when the pandemic first hit). Why? Because the Lord had to allow some affliction so that He can restore us in our rightful place (as He often did with the children of Israel). We were falling away, being unfaithful, slothful (lazy), and not giving our walk with Christ our all. The Lord allowed a little destruction and shaking (Hebrews 12:27 NKJV) to pull us back in place and so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
As people of God, we have to rightly divide what the Lord is doing in this season and His reasoning for allowing the darkness we see to rise in the way it has. He has a reason for it; He's using it; it's growing the people of God. It's aligning us and restoring us to where we need to be. After months of enduring, being stretched, and growing -- coming up higher, the Lord has finally given comfort and relief in His instruction, in the pruning, and the purging. This month, the Lord is offering restoration and comfort.
The promise is that this month, the Lord will restore His people. This month (from the outside) won't look like the Lord's restoration; however, it is His hand of repair and restoration as He continues to take us higher concerning His will. We have to remain connected to the vine (John 15 KJV) to see His hand rightly and not misinterpret what God is doing and allowing in the earth. We do not want to miss, but rather, be in tune with the will of God in this season and the times to come. He doesn't want us to miss it, and we ought' not want to miss it either. However, in order to not miss it, we have to stay connected, especially during this season of restoration.
Also, in this season, seeing His hand (rightly) is crucial; meaning, we cannot be afraid of the Lord's will in allowing darkness to rise. We cannot misinterpret what the Lord is doing and allowing in the earth to cause us to be fearful, timid, afraid, or worried. We cannot be intimidated by what we're seeing in the world during this season; however, we have to allow the different things we're seeing and witnessing to cause us to press-in to the Lord and gain clear, spiritual sight of His will (and our part) in this season.
