Part 2 - Prophetic Word for September 2020:
Continuation of previous post...
Think about our prophet-friend, Daniel, who was taken captive into a strange land. In Ezekiel 36, Daniel would have been included in who Ezekiel was prophesying to. Even still, when we read the book of Daniel, we see how Daniel remained faithful even while in a strange land. Though he was amid judgment and punishment that was not even His fault (per se), Daniel held to his standards (we see in Daniel 1), and he remained faithful to God by doing so. Like Daniel, amid the punishment, judgment, and correction of today – the people of God can flourish and thrive in a strange land IF we remain connected to God; IF we continue to press-in, and IF we continue to make ourselves available to the Lord. Because only in doing these things will we be able to rightly divide what the Lord is truly doing in this season. Rather than seeing His hand and becoming afraid, deciding not to press into this season because of the gross darkness that we see, naturally.
We CAN sing a song in a strange land (Psalm 137:4). The times we're living in, we've never seen before, but, with the help of the Lord, we can thrive! The Lord wants us to thrive spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and naturally in Him and the things of God during this time. He wants us to walk in our gifts and callings; He wants us to be bold about the Gospel; He wants us to see others through salvation; He wants us to step out on faith and allow Him to grow and stretch us. He wants us to reach insurmountable measures in HIM!
NOW is your time. You've been praying for the advancement of your gift. You've been praying for your anointing; you've been praying for the Lord to open up doors for you to walk in your gift and calling for the Kingdom's sake. The proper time – NOW is the time. Creation is waiting on you to walk in what God has put in you. Don't step out of God's will and pace, of course, but you want to keep up with His pace and not behind or ahead of Him. Keep up with the moving of His train.
I highly recommend you studying (at least) the first chapter of Daniel to see how he transitioned in a strange land -- remaining faithful to God by holding to his standards. Daniel possessed a made up might. My prayer is that we would, too, even as we receive the Lord's restoration during this season.
Here are some scriptures that God has encouraged me with during this time. They’re timely and prophetic:
Isaiah 41:17-20 KJV - "When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. 18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. 19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: 20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it."
Jeremiah 17:7-8 KJV - "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit."
Psalm 46 KJV - "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. 6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. 7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. 8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. 9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. 10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah."
God is having His way in this season. My encouragement to you is to get up under His arms of safety and protection. Get into and remain in the presence of God; your sanity is in your hiding in Him. Your peace, joy, and contentment are all found in your hiding. Get in the secret place (Psalm 91:1 KJV) and remain there, not because you’re fearful but because you trust Him and know that He’s the only who can sustain you.
You think a pandemic is scary? What’s scary is making it through this season and not being hidden by the Lord’s presence, yet witnessing this world’s conditions worsening right before your eyes. Enduring foundations lifted from up under you (without the Lord) and not recognizing where your help truly comes from (Psalm 121:1, 2 KJV). Get under the arc of safety and stay there. In Jesus’ name! Be blessed people of God.
It is in humility and in service that I write this to you.
Until next time, if the Lord stays the same,
Your sister,
LaGerrica 🌻
